Gemstone Scarab Beetle
The Scarab beetle, a symbol of the creation of life and a talisman for
protection, was very popular in ancient Egyptian culture. These
Scarab beetles are hand-carved from assorted gemstones and measure approx.
7/8" across and 1 1/8" long. Each beetle has a hole
drilled from side to side for threading. (Note: Satin cord sold on Necklace Chain page may
fit through most, but not all
scarabs.) Since each scarab is hand
made, size, shape and stone will vary. Sold individually. Feel free to request one of the stones listed

The Ankh was the Ancient Egyptian symbol of life. The Scarab was
one of the forms their Sun God, Ra, could take. Together they meant: to live beneath the sun. In Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, the
Sun disc at one time was depicted with hands at the ends of the Sun's rays
holding out Ankhs to members of the royal family. This was believed
