Spells & Chants

Write Your Own Spells! ! !  I can not emphasize this enough!  The best spells, that really get results, are the ones you write yourself !  They should be simple and to the point.  You can make them rhyme so they will be easier to remember.
Still stumped?  Scott Cunningham has a few books that can help including, Earth Power which touches on candle magic, knot magic, mirror magic, etc.  And The Complete Book of Incense, Oils & Brews.  Also,  Celtic Magic by D.J. Conway.  These books are not expensive (under $15. each) and  can be very helpful.
Please!  Please!  Please!  DO NOT ask me for any sort of spell to make someone do something they normally aren't going to do under their own will, like LOVE SPELLS.  That's not what the Craft is all about and I'll have no part in any such happenings!  Before performing any spell, make sure what you're about to do does no harm to anyone including yourself, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.  If you're not sure if your spell will cause harm, seriously think for a while about what you're doing and why for before any mistakes are made.

A note to all beginners about spell casting:

Spells should be done with experience and knowledge of the Craft.  In order for a spell to be performed there must be three things: a need, a desire for change, and the ability to focus.  Spells are not toys to try just to see if they really work and Witchcraft is not a game.  And it is certainly NOT what you see on television or in the movies! A spell is a prayer sent out to bring about a necessary change.  Just as in the Christian religion, Pagan prayer (a spell) should also be a respected act.  Prayers are not played with, neither should spells.  Also, there is no such thing as a simple spell.  All spells are a lot of hard work.  If all your concentration and effort is not put into it, it will not happen the way you expect.  If done wrong, in the slightest way, serious implications will arise!
