As you can see, the Ocean and the Forest are important to me.  Birds and plants are special, as are the colors yellow and green.  Autumn and Summer play a part in what I enjoy as does healing, helping and creating.

The first half of my name, Hazel, comes from the Witch Hazel plant that grows in fertile forests and blooms yellow in Autumn.  I have been attracted to this plant since I was a child and it's still one of my favorites.  It's properties are divination, healing and protection.  Dunlin, the second half of my name, is a sea bird that runs about on the shores of the Ocean where I spent my Summers growing up.  They are of the sandpiper family and when I think of them, I see the Ocean.  The Ocean's properties are healing, peace and health, among others.
